Thank you Aurora Cultural Centre!

I have always had a great relationship with the Aurora Cultural Centre. I feel very privileged to have shown my work in this beautiful building!

Recently I was approached by Christina DiPaola, gallery assistant and Clare Bolton, gallery manager to be featured in their series ''Where are they now?''

They did an amazing job and I am happy to share the result with you!

Where Are They Now? Josée Savaria

Newmarket based artist Josée Savaria has had an ongoing relationship with the Aurora Cultural Centre. Savaria had a solo show titled 'The View from Land's End' here in 2012, a joint exhibition in 2015 with artist Mahtab Abdollahi titled ‘Enchanted Realms: A Journey of Magic and Wonder’, and has frequently had her work included in the Society of York Region Artist juried art shows. Savaria’s intricate and recognizable work can be found many places in Newmarket, brightening the walls of local shops and homes with her colorful patterns. Some of her work can also be found as part of the Southlake Regional Health Centre Art Collection.

Currently Savaria is spending time in her studio working on her ‘’Ocean series’’. This newest body of work features waterscape paintings which she started at the end 2019 and will continue to explore in 2020. Savaria has recently been once again accepted to show in this years Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, which is usually held over the course of a weekend in July at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that this year the fair will live as an online exhibition from July 2 to 11, 2020 on their website: https://torontooutdoor.art/ You can keep up to date and follow Josée Savaria‘s art journey on her Instagram account @joseesavaria_art or by visiting her website at https://www.joseesavaria.com/
